My entire life i have been completely consumed by art. Some people write colums in newspapers and blogs or comment on Facebook to get their views on life out there. My way of expressing my self and my view on life is by painting.

My passion is to paint the humorous side of live, sometimes with a kitschy theme about gender discrimination or political absurditys, perhaps to satisfying my need to reflect on my daily existence living it the midst of the contentious crazy political arena in Iceland.

I have been injecting a healthy dose of humour in my work, trying to break down the barriers between formality and familiarity, leaving only truth and humour on the canvas. In one way or another all my paintings contain the elements of some of the things i consider most important in live. Kindness, humour and happiness.

I may never fully know if my work had made a difference in anyones life, but i know that if manage to get a smirk or a smile on your face, then my job is done.

I have attended different workshops in oil and acrylic paintings in Iceland and Sweden.
